சென்னை விமான நிலையத்தில் இருந்து தலைவர் பிரபாகரனின் தாயார் திருப்பி அனுப்பப்பட்டு ஏறக்குறைய ஒருநாள் வழக்கம் போல் முடிந்தது. இது குறித்து இன்று தமிழகத்தில் இருக்கும் அனைத்து தமிழ் அமைப்புகளும் கண்டண அறிக்கைகள் வெளியிட்டன. அரசியல் சார்ந்தும் அரசியல் சாராததுமாய் அக்கண்டண அறிக்கைகள் வெளிவந்துள்ளன. அவை இணைய தளங்களில் பிரசுரமாகியது. ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் அல்லது எதிர்ப்பை ஒருவேளை நாளை சென்னையில் தமிழ் அமைப்புகள் நடத்தக் கூடும். இன்று எதுவும் நடைபெறவில்லை.
வலைப்பூக்களில் மனிதம் போற்றுபவர்கள், தமிழின உணர்வாளர்கள் தங்களது இயலாமையையும் கோபத்தையும் கண்டணத்தையும் பல்வேறு வடிவங்களில் பதிவு செய்தார்கள்.நேற்று இரவு விமான நிலையத்தில் தோழர்கள் பயந்ததைப் போலவே, இந்திய தமிழ் செய்தி ஊடகங்கள் தலைவரின் தாய் அவர் வந்த விமானத்திலேயே திருப்பி அனுப்பப் பட்டதை பெரிதாய்ப்பொருட்படுத்தவில்லை. இருட்டடிக்கப்பட்டது என்று கூடச் சொல்லலாம்.
பொது செய்தி ஊடகங்களின் செய்திகள் வியாபாரம், பரபரப்பு, காமம், அரசியல் ஆகியவற்றால் தீர்மானிக்கப்படுகின்றன என்பது நாம் அறிந்ததே.அவர்கள் வியாபாரத்தில் நாமும் ஒரு பங்கு என்பதையும் அவர்கள் வெளியிடக்கூடிய விளம்பரங்களை நாமும் பார்க்கிறோம் என்பதையும் அவர்களுக்கு இத்தருணத்தில் நினைவூட்டுவது அவசியம் எனத் தோன்றுகிறது. மின்னஞ்சலில் கைப்பேசி குறுந்தகவலில் வரும் செய்திகளைக் கூட அவர்கள் பிரசுரிக்கவே செய்கிறார்கள்.

A moment of stern insurrection with a note of appeal to you
It was brought to our attention that yesterday night (April 6th 2010), Mrs. Parvathiyammal; an elderly physically crippled lady was deported from Chennai International Airport, in spite of holding a valid 6 months visa to enter into India. And we were further informed that she wasn't even allowed to step out of the aeroplane and sent back to Malaysia in the same plane as well. Other than the Fact that she was Mother of LTTE leader Mr. Prabakaran, we understand that there was no strong hold for rejecting the entry of this elderly person. For reasons unknown, the media seems to have either stonewalled this issue or presented it to public in such a way, it wouldn't create any kind of impact.
I come forth with numerous questions doubting the credibility and ethics and moral value of the way, Media has handled this sensitive issue.
First, why has this issue been cold shouldered by many who have the noble responsibility of taking news to public?
Second, even when it was taken to the public, why has it been just a one liner, rather than giving the actual importance of which this situation holds?
Third, why hasn't this news been publicized like the situation where Bollywood actor Mr. Shah Rukh Khan, was made to wait in the American airport for a few hours, before being allowed to enter their country, which became a blazing flame all over the country and world within minutes?
Is it the fact that Mrs. Parvathiyammal was a mere 80 year old shrivelled up paralysed lady, unlike a flashy movie star, Or is it the lack of sexually perverted gratification which spins around most of the headliners nowadays, Or is it the lack of violence and damage to public properties in and around the Airport, Or is it simple and blatant Politics, that made you think that your media wouldn't have much publicity talking about her and the preposterous situation that has been spun around her.
Whatever the reason may be, an issue which should have reached the whole mass of tamilians across the globes and the entire human rights organisations across the globe, has been blindfolded by the irresponsible way, Media has dealt with this issue. As a Human being, an Indian and a Tamilian, I come forward with a strong voice of objection to this uncompassionate and callous behaviour of the Media.
As a food for thought, I would like you to ponder on the fact that we are your major clientele. And your businesses are thriving based on people like us and would kindly request you never to act in such relentless way, ever again. Do not deny us our right to know.
We believe and trust in your essential services to maintain the culture and humanity of each country, especially ours. Please bring these news, where the tamilians are being declined their human rights and made to suffer, to light, so that the general public will be informed of what is happening around them. We also would strongly like to add that this letter doesn't hold any political colours to it and it is a mere expression of a passionate human being who wants to see the fellow countrymen thrive.
